Up unitl two days ago it worked fine. Whenever I hit a vortex download link, it wants to open the old nmm. So I uninstalled that. Now when I try to hit the download links, it just doesn't give me any option at all, instead the windows prompt tells me to find an app. EG: I attempted to download the Armor and Weapons Keywords mod and when the download window appeared after pressing "download with NMM" link the dialogue box prompting me to select a program appeared but only gave me the option to find a program in the Windows App Store.
Anytime I tell the Nexus page to download with mod manager, it tells me that I need a new app to do so. There is a screenshot of what happens. I click vortex on the download for mods on nexus and it dosent start downloading them on vortex so i have to manualy download them to add them to the client which takes more time than downloading them.
Every time i try to download a mod from nexus, it wont let me use the mod manager, it does nothing for whatever reason. I dont know what to do, please help. Hi, my name is Raul and i'm Brazilian, so sorry for my bad english. I have problems to download mods using the option "vortex" in nexusmode, they don't recognize vortex to open and download. I have checked the proper boxes and logged in. I dont know how to fix that. I did setup Vortex correctly following the Wiki and Gopher. Prinsn , the download with mod manager button is controlled by both mod authors and our staff. Our staff will never disable the button unless the author is providing an installer for the mod.
More often, the mod authors themselves would disable the button for one reason or another - please clarify this with the mod author. Wikt0ri0 , are you using FireFox by any chance? FireFox tends to hold its own file associations and may have been configured to automatically start up NMM instead of Vortex.

I tried using Vortex to download and install the unofficial patch, but when I check the mods list in-game, it doesn't show it as installed. So is it actually there, like Vortex says, or not, the way Skyrim SE says?
I never have this problem with Fallout 4, dunno why Skyrim SE is finicky. Last edited by MyNewLife ; 28 Mar, pm. If it not on the list its not there. Unlike SKSE the patch is a mod so it is on the list. I can only assume that your downloading the Skyrim version and not the SE version.
No, I got the SE version, I'm certain. It just won't pick it up. The game must store mods somewhere other than where Vortex does. If you download the patch with Vortex then it has to be in Vortex mod folder. You know some mods don't show up in mods section of Vortex if it only has plugins.
I can't remmember if the patch is that way, I don't use it anymore, don't have any mods that require it, so I can't check my build. There is a pinned thread that might tell you.. But I would check to see if it is only in plugins section of Vortex. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 28 Mar, pm. Posts: 5.
